Manninghams Planning Director Retires…
Paul Molan is leaving Manningham on the 14/12/11 after 37 years service.
Paul has attracted a lot of criticism while directing the very contentious realm of Planning approvals. He also must have done as lot of good during those 37 years, I’ll let others who have experienced it talk about that elsewhere.
He has denied the comments written about him in the papers were true quotes, and that may be so…
But we have seen him in action first hand giving very poor guidance to councilors, as a basis to vote on the 5-7 Curlew court development. something to the effect of …we would most likely stop approving future developments in Curlew Court when the traffic run out… – The limits he set equated to 34 apartments on every original house block! or 416 homes in this 120 meter long court !
We have been left feeling he had all the love for new developments, and little concern for collateral impact upon those around them.
We can only hope now that the council appoints some-one with a more balanced community concern to guide this critical department.
