Doncaster Federal Seat Might Vanish in 2013

Doncaster Electorate update

The Victoria Electoral Commission is doing a redistribution and has released the draft boundaries.
The VEC draft boundaries have abolished 2 seats – one of which is Doncaster. Essentially, Doncaster has been split between the seats of Bulleen and Warrandyte.
There is still quite a process to go before the boundaries are finalised (final boundaries released in October).

If you would like to look at the draft VEC maps go to:  http://www.ebc.vic.gov.au/

The proposed electoral boundaries have been released. The proposed boundaries are on display at municipal council service centres and libraries throughout the State, and are also available at Information Victoria.

Key dates

Proposed boundaries released Thursday, 27 June 2013
Deadline for suggestions and objections 5.00 pm, Monday, 29 July 2013
Public hearings (possible) August 2013
