Westfield parking tower – unlikely capacity
There are currently approx 287 car spaces in the car park in which the new Westfield Parking tower is to be located. They claim 854 spaces but it appears they have not deducted the number of spaces displaced. It would be hard for outsiders to accurately calculate without knowing its exact position.

The construction of a five level car park will increase Westfield’s on-site car parking tally by a approximately 450, from the existing 4,771 to approximately 5221 spaces, a ratio of 4.75%, still 279 spaces less than the required 5%.
In fairness to Westfield there are other major centres that have less parking but usually have an ample supply of public of-street parking areas to compensate.
There are no such facilities on Doncaster Hill, so as a consequence, all parking overspill from Westfield has to be accommodated in adjacent side streets.
