WARMING IS CAUSING A SEVERE POLAR VORTEX
“The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment project allocations, and the power of money, is ever present and is gravely to be regarded”. “Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become captive of a scientific technological elite”…. Dwight Eisenhower
Scientists who have switched from global cooling are now saying that the severe cold spells do not disprove global warming. “It may well be that it could make the occasional bout of extreme cold weather even more likely”. Much of the U.S. when in the the grip of a Polar Vortex is pretty much what it sounds like a whirlwind of extremely cold, extremely dense that forms near the poles. that usually the fast winds in the vortex—which can top 100 mph (161 k/h)—keep that cold air locked up in the Arctic. But when the winds weaken, the vortex
can begin to wobble like a drunk on his fourth martini, and the Arctic air can escape and spill southward, bringing Arctic weather with it. In this case, nearly the entire polar vortex has tumbled Southward leading to record-breaking cold”.
Newspaper articles below portray the depth of panic in the media caused by scientists who were trying to obtain government funding for further study on how to combat global cooling not global warming. John Holdren, chief climate adviser to several presidents who helped Al Gore with his documentary, was among several scientists seeking funding for research who gave up and switched over to global warming when world temperatures began to rise slightly.

Earth at the Tipping Point_ Global Warming Heats Up – TIME
In 1972, two scientists – George J. Kukla (of the Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory) and R. K. Matthews (Chairman, Dept of Geological Sciences, Brown University) – wrote the following letter to President Nixon warning of the possibility of a new ice age:
Dear Mr. President:
Aware of your deep concern with the future of the world, we feel obliged to inform you on the results of the scientific conference held here recently. The conference dealt with the past and future changes of climate and was attended by 42 top American and European investigators. We enclose the summary report published in Science and further publications are forthcoming in Quaternary Research. The main conclusion of the meeting was that a global deterioration of climate, by order of magnitude larger than any hitherto experience by civilized mankind, is a very real possibility and indeed may be due very soon. The cooling has natural cause and falls within the rank of processes which produced the last ice age. This is a surprising result based largely on recent studies of deep sea sediments.
Existing data still do not allow forecast of the precise timing of the predicted development, nor the assessment of the man’s interference with the natural trends. It could not be excluded however that the cooling now under way in the Northern Hemisphere is the start of the expected shift. The present rate of the cooling seems fast enough to bring glacial temperatures in about a century, if continuing at the present pace. The practical consequences which might be brought by such developments to existing social institution are among others:
(1) Substantially lowered food production due to the shorter growing seasons and changed rain distribution in the main grain producing belts of the world, with Eastern Europe and Central Asia to be first affected.
(2) Increased frequency and amplitude of extreme weather anomalies such as those bringing floods, snowstorms, killing frosts, etc.
With the efficient help of the world leaders, the research …
With best regards,
George J. Kukla (Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory)

A typical comment from a scientist!
One of the questions that nags at climatologists asks when and how fast a new ice age might descend. A Belgian scientist suggests this could happen sooner and swifter than you might think.
They couldn’t go with global warming, when the cooling scam ran out of gas, until temperatures readings got back to where they were in 1940. They had to wait until the mid 80’s, when slightly higher mean temperatures were recorded, before anybody could jump on the gravy train. It didn’t seen to matter when people like Tim Flannery and Bill Nye made fools of themselves on television. Even the ABC, the gate keeper of the warming hysteria, were made to look foolish by Flannery’s ridiculous statements.
How could Obama possibly say the the debate is over and the science is settled…97% of scientists agree etc. When his own intelligence staff and just about everyone else in the U.S. would have known that the results of the study conducted by John Cook, claiming to prove that 97% of “scientists” had agreed that global warming was real and mostly cause by man, knew it to be fraudulent. The results of his paper and how it was derived can be accessed on the internet for anyone who has any doubts. Trump knew enough about the fraud when he withdrew from the Paris agreement where U.S. have to fork out billions and reduce their emissions while Chinese corporations are building or planning to build more than 700 new coal plants at home and around the world, some in countries that today burn little or no coal, according to tallies compiled by Urgewald, an environmental group based in Berlin. Many of the plants are in China, but by capacity, roughly a fifth of these new coal power stations are in other countries.
Some times it is necessary to alter and exaggerate the data to to get the attention of the public. I don’t agree that John Cook should have gone as far as he did but his passion to get the message across has made it worse.for the credibility of both sides of the warming. It is too late its out there now so there is no use worrying about it.
Having said that, I am tired of reading about global warming and climate change, why can’t we address something more important like pollution of the air and cleaning up our waterways.
Every country has had a chance to form a democratic system of government like we see in the western world.. Giving money to countries who refuse or are unable to do so will only perpetuate their problems and be a complete waste.
Satellite global temperature data is slightly cooler than ground base thermometers but are more accurate. What is significant is that they have shown no sign of any warming since 1998. This explains why the IPCC have gone into damage control by replacing global warming with climate change. It is interesting that New York has just had its coldest new years eve ever. (climate change)
What this means is they won’t have to worry about altering the data of previous years to show lower temperatures to give the impression the current temperatures prove the earth is warming.
It won’t matter whether temperatures go up or down, warming or cooling, because it will still be climate change caused by man! These idiots will keep this fraud going as long as the money keeps flowing. I am very disappointed with CNN team who have supported the scam all the way…..Apologies to the weatherman John Coleman who was sacked after decades of service because he refused to accept the global warming fraud… Let’s see what Trump can do.
USA can’t fully withdraw from the Paris accord until 2020 but that won’t hold if the agreement allows countries like China and India to increase emissions while America must reduce theirs.
This idea of a world government and sharing of resources came in 1989 when Maurice Strong, socialist and oil millionaire, was appointed Secretary General of the Earth Summit and in 1992, addressing Earth Summit II in Rio, he told the thousands of climate change delegates: “It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class— involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work place air-conditioning, and suburbanhousing — are not sustainable”.
He also said: “Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsiblity to bring that about?” – Maurice Strong, founder of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP
Absolutely!
UN Climate Chief Christiana Figueres stated bluntly, “Our aim is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to change the global economic system…” In simpler terms, she intends to replace free enterprise, entrepreneurial capitalism with UN-controlled centralized, One World government and economic control.
UN IPCC official Ottmar Edenhofer presented an additional reason for UN climate policies. “One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy, it is not”. It is actually about how “we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth.”
Sounds like communism to me!
Because we have had an increase of 0.79 degrees of global warming, over a period of more than a century, rich nations will have to share there wealth with poorer nations, many of whom are hostile to America, and at the same time lower our quality of life by phasing out the use of fossil fuels that have allowed the world to create everything we touch and use today. They have introduced a trillion dollar industry based on fraud. A great deal rests on whether Trump is going to back up his promise to the American people that he would withdraw from the Paris accord. It is encouraging that he has sacked John Holdren Obama’s science adviser and trimmed the department.
Sea levels have risen but not to the extent that has been claimed. The 1841 tidal marking in Port Arthur suggests a sea rise, after making allowances, between 0.1 to 0.3 mm per year.
It is interesting to note that many of these small island nations are actually rising which makes sea rise difficult to assess. While in other parts of the world there is no supporting evidence.
These experts, who we thought could be trusted, who are publishing dodgy temperature charts to scare people and obtain grants, have high jacked the climate debate from people who genuinely care about our planet and have no desire to profit from it.
I cannot understand why the heads of lending institutions and property investors are ploughing billions of dollars into developments in Florida, New York and other low lying parts of the world, when these areas, according to the IPPC, will be be underwater in a decade or two. Why haven’t the scientists, who have all the data, warned them of the impending sea rise disaster. It seems to me that a certain amount of information is not being shared with the public, maybe the flooding of coastal areas is exaggerated and more to do with continued government funding of climate research.
The IPCC, with 90% confidence say that sea levels will rise about 1 metre by the end of the century. That is if the world doesn’t revert to a cooling period beforehand.
Most canal and coastal developments are well above that level.
Victoria’s minimum allowable is 1 metre.
Patterson Lakes in Melbourne is 4 metres above sea level.
Al Gore says sea levels will rise by 20 feet in a short period which is being taught to school children. They will regret giving this guy the Nobel Prize he is a shyster.
We think that carbon dioxide is causing the planet to warm but we have no proof of that, in fact it has been demonstrated by ice cores samples that CO2 concentrations follow periods of warming and the drop in world temperatures from 1940 to 1979 was a period when CO2 emissions had increased significantly. We don’t know what caused the little ice age or the medieval period when temperatures were much warmer than we have today, so how are we able to predict world temperatures in the future. Could it be the phases of the SUN.? It is a basic requirement that we must first understand its role on the earth’s changing climate before we start imposing these draconian restrictions.
Above average world temperatures have increased from 0.250 C in 1940 to 0.850 C in 2016, a margin of 0.6 C. According to the IPCC at least half of the that was caused by man which means the maximum amount of natural warming (probably the SUN) was more than 0.3 C over a period of 76 years….hardly anything to worry about wouldn’t you say.
The real challenge facing the world is overpopulation.
Prior to the Paris climate accord a reporter went to the United Nations website to find out whether it would be discussed at the summit only to learn it was not even on the conference agenda!
All that could be found was the definition.
Overpopulation
Description exceeding of certain threshold limits of population density when environmental resources fail to meet the requirements of individual organisms regarding shelter, nutrition and so forth. It gives rise to high rates of mortality and morbidity. See also carrying capacity.
Penrith in Sydney’s west reached a top of 47.3 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature recorded by a weather station in the Sydney metropolitan area since 1939 when the temperature then hit 47.8 degrees Celsius.
1939 was by far Australia’s hottest summer. Adelaide sweltered with temperatures of 117.7 F or 47.6 during a 15 day spell of temperatures over 100 C.
Kyancutta, in South Australia, recorded 120.7 F or 49 C. in the same period.
Melbourne’s hottest day was 45.6 C on 13th January 1939 one of several days with similar temperatures leading up to Black Friday.
It is not surprising that the 1930’s was easily the world’s hottest decade.
Those records were broken during the period of warming which reached its peak in 1940 and cooled slightly until 1979. The world has warmed at least 0.6 degrees Celsius since 1940 but may cool again as it has previously but we really don’t know. All these events that are predicted to occur before the end of the century are based on the world continuing to warm at a uniform rate which may not happen.
Developing countries need to be free to make their own decisions about how to improve their people’s lives. Activists who’ve never had to worry about starvation, malaria and simple survival have no right to impose their fears, prejudices and ideologies on the world’s poor. It’s a message that needs to be spread far and wide… C S Prakash
Brad Plumer points out over at Vox:
“What’s most relevant to us humans, living in the present day, is that the climate has been remarkably stable for the past 12,000 years. That period encompasses all of human civilisation – from the pyramids to the Industrial Revolution to Facebook and beyond.
We’ve benefited greatly from that stability. It’s allowed us to build farms and coastal cities and thrive without worrying about overly wild fluctuations in the climate.”
So stop trying to get funding for a non-existent problem….Do something useful instead!
“According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become ‘a very rare and exciting event’. ‘Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,’ he said.”
The “climate change will destroy snow” line remained an article of faith with the doomist crowd for some time. “We are already seeing the snow season shortened,” then-Greens leader Christine Milne told the National Press Club in 2014. “The snow dumps have become smaller.”
What a stupid thing to say! There were two reasons why Christine Milne made that statement, first because she was a greeny and secondly, a condition applicable to many alarmists, is the Crowd Psychology a sought of cheer leader behaviour syndrome. Like one woman, a member of the climate council headed by Tim Flannery, who said she could tell the world was warming because “the recent Western Sydney summers had been much warmer than the rest of the City”.
