The Global temperatures that were presented at the Paris Climate Conference in December 2015 were proof that the world was warming and there was an urgent need for countries to pledge their support for a CO2 reduction scheme which became known as the “Paris Accord”. Manhattan Institute senior fellow Oren Cass, one of the very few who had read the Paris Agreement, told John Stossel, television presenter that it was “somewhere between a farce and a fraud”.

“You didn’t have to mention greenhouse gases, just send in any piece of paper you want, “this is amazing” “My favorite was Pakistan, whose pledge was to ‘Reach a peak at some point after which to begin reducing emissions,’” says Cass. “You can staple those together, and you can say we now have a global agreement, but what you have is an agreement to do nothing”. NOAA, who would normally publish temperatures in the early part of following year, were able to publish the 2015 temperature well before the Paris conference in November 2015. There had been no warming to speak of between 2001 and 2013 except for 0.28 C of warming between 2013 and 2015!

The revised data has shown that global warming is real and that we must take steps to reduce our CO2 emissions, so they tell us, but why was it necessary to increase annual anomalies by up to 0.08 C ?
