AUSTRALIA IS WORLD’S FIFTH LARGEST CARBON DIOXIDE EXPORTER
Massive Export Footprint: Emissions from burning Australian coal and gas exports are roughly three times larger than the country’s own domestic emissions, contributing about 1.1 to 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 yearly.
Global Impact: This exported carbon footprint is larger than the total emissions of all countries except China, the US, India, and Russia, making Australia a major global climate contributor.
Major Exporter: Australia is one of the world’s top exporters of coal and LNG (liquefied natural gas).
Undermines Climate Goals: Continued fossil fuel exports, especially coal, directly conflict with global efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C, with research suggesting Australia’s exports alone consume a large chunk of the remaining carbon budget.
Significant Domestic Link: Nearly a fifth of Australia’s domestic emissions come from the extraction and processing of these fuels for export.

The Greens and Teals are so stupid. The green leader walks around with this vacant smile on her face consistent with her own confused way of thinking.
No one talks about the massive amounts of carbon dioxide being emitted from under sea volcanoes or the amounts of CO2 current;y being emitted from the Russian Ukraine conflict.
The greens virtually run the country. To get their support the government has had to agree to renewable energy. Labor could find themselves in the wilderness once the true cost of this Net Zero is known. US, India, Russia and China, the main polluters, have no obligation other than supplying cheap and reliable power to their people.
Your labor party is following the same path as the Democrats here in US. Whether you will ever get back stability in the short term will depend on the calibre of your leadership.
