GLOBAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURES IN EIGHTIES WERE SAME AS TODAY

The average global temperature in 1987 at 15.32 C was one of the first years to exceed 15.26 C, 1.5 C above the pre-industrial temperature of 13.76, during the 1980’s which was slightly warmer than the 15.31 C in 2024. According to AI the 1990 average global temperature was recorded at 15.45 C which was the earth’s warmest year so far and apart from 1990 the average global temperatures seemed to have leveled out at 15.32 C. The major authorities, NASA, NOAA, British Met Office, The Hadley Centre and the World Meteorology Organisation (WMO) have recorded no significant increase in global temperatures since 1987.

1987 Was one of the first years to exceed the 1.5 C above the pre-industrial of 13.76 C.

The 2024 WMO report that posted a temperature 15.31 C, 1.55 C above the pre-industrial temperature of 13.76 C, was slightly COOLER than the temperature recorded in 1987, yet the WMO has pegged 2024 as the warmest year on record and then falsely claim an extraordinary streak of record-breaking temperatures:

  • The past ten years 2015-2024 are the ten warmest years on record (false),
  • We have likely seen the first calendar year with a global mean temperature of more than 1.5°C above the 1850-1900 average (false)
  • Six international datasets are used to reach the consolidated WMO global figure (false)
  • 2024 saw exceptional land and sea surface temperatures and ocean heat (false)
  • Long-term temperature goal of the Paris Agreement not yet dead but in grave danger” (Yep)

“Today’s assessment from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) proves yet again – global heating is a cold, hard fact,” said UN Secretary-General Antóno Guterres. “Individual years pushing past the 1.5 degree limit do not mean the long-term goal is shot. It means we need to fight even harder to get on track. Blazing temperatures in 2024 require trail-blazing climate action in 2025,” he said. “There’s still time to avoid the worst of climate catastrophe. But leaders must act – now,” he said. (False)

“Climate history is playing out before our eyes. We’ve had not just one or two record-breaking years, but a full ten-year series. This has been accompanied by devastating and extreme weather, rising sea levels and melting ice, all powered by record-breaking greenhouse gas levels due to human activities,” said WMO Secretary-General Celeste Saulo.

“It is important to emphasize that a single year of more than 1.5°C for a year does NOT mean that we have failed to meet Paris Agreement long-term temperature goals, which are measured over decades rather than an individual year. However, it is essential to recognize that every fraction of a degree of warming matters. Whether it is at a level below or above 1.5°C of warming, every additional increment of global warming increases the impacts on our lives, economies and our planet,” said Celeste Saulo.

The  latest NASA planetary data had recently published the earth temperature at 15 C, which means that Guterres and his cronies at the UN will be limited by the latest finding and will more than likely restrict any future rise in world temperatures.

They might even drop temperatures by a fraction to satisfy the true believers of this nonsense then claim that Net Zero is starting to kick in.

We have been pretty close to the limit since the 1980’s why on earth can’t we build cooling centers like in Los Angeles where people can get relief especially in central Melbourne where the heat island effect is raising temperatures to well beyond what was experienced in the 1980’s

I think the global temperature are now under control as the recent data shows. It appears that have now stabilized….which is good news for the environment..

No constraints on coal burning for the time being in India, Russia, US, China and North Korea. Why can’t we burn our own coal instead of exporting to those countries.
