{"id":14303,"date":"2020-03-11T12:00:48","date_gmt":"2020-03-11T01:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/?p=14303"},"modified":"2020-07-29T00:47:43","modified_gmt":"2020-07-28T14:47:43","slug":"no-link-between-emissions-and-temperatures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/2020\/03\/no-link-between-emissions-and-temperatures\/","title":{"rendered":"NO LINK BETWEEN EMISSIONS AND WARMING"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\">The complete elimination of all fossils in the US immediately would only restrict any increase in world temperature by less than one tenth of one degree Celsius by 2050 and by less than one fifth of one degree Celsius by 2100, according to MAGICC,\u00a0 the <strong>M<\/strong>odel for <strong>A<\/strong>ssessment of <strong>G<\/strong>reenhouse gas <strong>I<\/strong>nduced by <strong>C<\/strong>limate <strong>C<\/strong>hange, a NCAR\/US government computer model to establish the effect of zero emissions<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14546 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/MagiccTable-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"516\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/MagiccTable-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/MagiccTable-768x482.jpg 768w, https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/MagiccTable.jpg 859w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 516px) 100vw, 516px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333300;\">NCAR is the go-to agency for the US Government and IPCC climate modelers to determine the impact of CO2 on world climate. <\/span><span style=\"color: #333300;\">MAGICC Model projects what would be the impact on temperature of the Earth.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333300;\">if the United States, or any other political subdivision on <\/span>Earth, ceased the burning of <b>all<\/b>\u00a0fossil fuels\u00a0<b>now, <\/b>not at some distant time in the future, <strong>would be a complete waste of time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333300;\">By definition, <\/span><span style=\"color: #333300;\">a period with high carbon dioxide emissions with out warming cannot provide evidence that emissions are the dominant cause of global warming, which is hardly a problem anyway.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/magicctable \"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-14602 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Magicctable-2-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Magicctable-2-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Magicctable-2.jpg 565w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333300;\">A 39 year of cooling 1940 to 1979 was accompanied by a large rise in CO2 emissions, equal to levels in recent warming periods, can we explain that? This was the period when scientist were seeking funds\/grants on how to cope with the &#8220;coming ice age&#8221;. They wanted to cover the ice caps with soot.\u00a0 Newspaper articles portrayed the depth of panic in the media caused by scientists who were trying to obtain government funding for further study on how to combat global cooling not global warming.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333300;\">John Holdren, chief climate adviser to the Obama administration and several presidents who helped Al Gore with his documentary, was among several scientists seeking funding for research who gave up and switched from global cooling to warming when world temperatures began to rise ever so slightly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14603 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Magicctable-3-300x191.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Magicctable-3-300x191.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coherence.com.au\/curlew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Magicctable-3.jpg 559w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333300;\">Warming began again in the years between <em>1980 to 1997 <\/em>which preceded another period of stable temperatures between <em>1998 and 2014. <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #333300;\">In the period since 2014, according to CRU, temperatures increased in 2015-2016 then cooled significantly in <em>2017 and 2018<\/em> followed by warmer <em>2019, <\/em>about one degree above pre-industrial levels which are generally regarded as the period between 1880-1900.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>CO2 rose from 291 ppm to 3oo ppm between 1880 and 1910 + 9 ppm. <strong>Cooling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CoolingCO2 rose from 3oo ppm to 311 ppm between 1910 -1940. + 11 ppm. <strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Warming<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CO2 rose from 311 ppm to 337 ppm between 1940-1979. + 26 ppm. <strong>Cooling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CO2 rose from 337 ppm to 366 ppm between 1979 -1998. + 29 ppm. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Warming\u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>CO2 rose from 366 ppm to 393 ppm between 1998 and 2014. + 27 ppm. <strong>Pause<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CO2
