Earth’s average temperature in 1990 at 59.81 F was the warmest on record according to an analysis by NASA. The global temperatures last year, measured by NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, were reported as the highest ever. But according to NASA archived data, 2023 at 59.36 F (15.20 C), was about the same average temperature as that recorded in 1973.
