THE WMO DID NOT PUBLISH THE BASELINE TEMPERATURES TILL 2004
In June 1993, the 45th session of the Executive Council of WMO, decided that greater efforts were needed to promote the WMO role as a provider of credible scientific information on climate and its variability and requested that arrangements be made for the regular wide distribution of WMO statements. The WMO claimed to have published global average temperatures from a number of major data sets since 1993 but were unable to provide baseline temperature for either of the two periods, 1951-1980 or 1961-1990, that were used to calculate world temperatures until 11 years later in 2004 when they posted 14 C (57 F) for 1961-1990 period. According to their own records they have never posted a baseline temperature for the 1951-1980 period. NASA, CRU East Anglia and British Met Office did provide a baseline temperature of 15 C (59 F) between 1880 to 1995 but after a meeting in 1998, convened by Phil Jones the head of CRU East Anglia, it was decided to drop global temperatures by one degree from 59 F (15 C) to 57 C (14 C +) by posting a temperature of 14.44 C.
WMO Lowered Temperatures in 1995
WMO in 2003, 8 years after dropping temperatures in 1995, had still not revealed the average global temperature for the 1961-1990 reference period.
It took the WMO nine years to reveal that the average temperature for the 1961-1990 baseline period in 2004 was 14 degrees Celsius, (57 degrees Fahrenheit). Thirty years have elapsed since the WMO 1993 and 1994 reports were published and we still don’t know what average temperature they had in mind for the 1951-1980 period.

Throw in the UN, IPCC, WMO, BBC and left wing teachers all bludging on the public purse. You can tell that their days are over. The US electons made it very clear by the huge majority for Trump.
They can capture Carbon Dioxide, the lynchpin of the dreaded warming, they have the machinery to do it. Garden centres can’t get enough of it. Atmospheric content declined during the 1930’s to the 1950’s period when you would have expected it to rise..
They reduced global temperatures after the release of NASA planetary data which nailed the earth temperature at a stable 15 C which was a major blow to the warming fanatics. Instead of publicising it extensively it was ignored, even today it is hardly mentioned. All they did was to simply lower earth baseline temperatures from 15 C down to 14 plus in 1998.
Forget the carbon dioxide scare because the Elephant in the room is the 11 million metric tonnes of plastic pollution pouring in to the ocean every year, a figure projected to triple to over 29 million metric tons by 2040. This equates to over one garbage truck worth of plastic dumping into the ocean every minute. Total accumulated plastic in the ocean is estimated between 75 and 199 million tonnes.
I would rather put up with the health risks due to the slight warming of the earth caused by increasing C0 2 than the accumulation of Micro plastics we have ingested that are ruining our health.. We can remove CO2 from the atmoshere but we can’t reduce the build up of plastic in our bodies.
