AUSTRALIA’S HOTTEST OF HOT DAYS

Adelaide,  In 1880, had a heat wave that lasted for 14 days with an average temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Maximum  daily temperatures over eleven successive  days had been: —’Thursday….94.2, Friday… 96.8,  Saturday …100.5,  Sunday: ..103.8, Monday… 98.4, Tuesday…95.0, Wednesday…105.0. Thursday…94.5…Friday…98.6, Saturday… 104.1 and SUNDAY…112.4. Victoria has had some extremely hot days: 47.2 °C (117.0 °F) (Anecdotal) – 6 February 1851 (Black Thursday) 46.4 °C (115.5 °F) – 7 February 2009 (Black Saturday) 45.6 °C (114.1 °F) – 13 January 1939 (Black Friday) all three preceded large firestorms.

The 2013 chart above shows a wide spread of record maximum temperatures throughout Australia since 1912 when a maximum temperature of 48.9 F was recorded at Brewarrina in New South Wales. There is no evidence that would indicate any warming trend in the Australian climate history. The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BoM)  recorded 2022 as the coolest year since 2012. In the Australian State of Victoria regional centres such as Ballarat and Bendigo have not shown any warming trend. e.g.. Ballarat had its warmwst year in 2007 and its second warmest in 1961 and the last three years 2022, 2021 and 2020 were ranked in order of warmest at 14, 45 and 37 respectively. No sustained warming to speak of in Bendigo neither as shown in the graph below.

Bendigo Temperatures Remarkably Stable.

NASA Data Showed Warmer But Stable World Temperatures Before Major Alterations

NASA data showed average temperature of 59 F for the period 1950-1980 back in 1987

The NASA archived temperature data above is much much warmer than in its present day charts because the baseline temperature period they are now using for the 1951-1980 is much cooler but they won’t say except that the 2022 global temperature is 0.89 C degrees Celsius above it. The best guess is about 13.90 C, which, when 0.89 C is added is 14.79 C, much the same as NOAA at 14.76. Which has since been altered to 14.81 C only three weeks later. The average temperature for the period 1951-1980 in the above NASA graph was 15 C (59 F)!!

Continuing the planet’s long-term warming trend, global temperatures in 2022 were 1.6 degrees Fahrenheit (0.89 degrees Celsius) above the average for NASA’s baseline period (1951-1980), scientists from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York reported. “This warming trend is alarming,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. “Our warming climate is already making a mark: Forest fires are intensifying; hurricanes are getting stronger; droughts are wreaking havoc and sea levels are rising. NASA is deepening our commitment to do our part in addressing climate change. Our Earth System Observatory will provide state-of-the-art data to support our climate modeling, analysis and predictions to help humanity confront our planet’s changing climate.” A history of major fires is covered in the website below.

These NASA temperatures were abandoned in 1998 because there had been no warming and the main authorities such as NASA, British Meteorology Office, CRU East Anglia and NOAA, were anxious about government funding decided to lower the Global temperature to 58 degrees Fahrenheit in 1998 to provide wriggle room to increase warming each subsequent year to ensure public funding would continue indefinitely.
Its sounds ridiculous but its true. Go to the New York times and type in global warming 1988 and any of the subsequent years till 1996. The NYT had pledged not to alter or remove archived news reports. UPI (United Press International) is another paper, that can be accessed for free, who also reported these higher temperatures of 80’s and 90’s.

WASHINGTON — Earth’s average surface temperature was higher in 1990 than any other year on record, possibly a sign of dreaded global warming, scientists reported Wednesday.
An analysis of data collected at 2,000 meteorological stations around the globe found 1990 was warmest year in records dating back to 1880 — with temperatures averaging 59.8 degrees Fahrenheit.
