NOAA TEMPERATURE RECORDS REMOVED AFTER THE DOGE INQUIRY
It appears that the DOGE, (Department Of Government Efficiency) have discovered several issues regarding NOAA’s increase in historic temperatures. NOAA and WMO had been neck and neck in reporting global average temperatures from 1993. But Tom Karl, senior scientist at NOAA, found that temperatures posted in that period were about 2.5 degrees Celsius cooler than the revised global temperature he had submitted and produced a graph that showed the average temperature in 1997 at 16.91 C, 2.48 C warmer than the 14.42 C that NOAA had published for the same year. He had the full support of Al Gore Vice President to the Clinton administration at that time. Apart from a brief period between 1998-2000, NOAA went on to raise the temperatures data shown in red in all it’s climate reports that had previously matched the WMO.
Temperatures Increased
NOAA continued to increase its original temperatures shown in the centre column 14.84 C to 14.93 C in 2016, 14.74 C to 14.84 C in 2017, 14.69 C to 14.77 C in 2018, followed by small increases of 0.03 C, 0.04 C, 0.03 C and 0. 04 C in subsequent years. WMO got a lot warmer in the period from 2021 at 14.83 C, in 2022 at 14.91 C, in 2023 at 15.21 C and in 2024 at 15.31 C, a remarkable amount of warming of 0.48 C in such a short period from 2021 to 2024. 
“The Global estimate for 1999 with data through to October is + 0.35 C “cf” compared to 0.57 C for 1998″ both wrt (with respect to) a baseline of 14 C, the average temperature for the 1961-1990 period. Both are near enough to what is shown in WMO column and pretty much the same as shown in NOAA’s original climate reports in centre column. This drop in temperatures may have coincided with data from Satellites that showed the earth average temperature at sea level at approximately 15 C (Google) If they wanted to show global warming over a certain period they would have to provide a scary pathway of warming up to 15 C and beyond, by dropping Global temperatures to 14 C +.

If Gore said it was 62 F in 1998. How confident are we in the present day data? Mind you both he and Clinton, Karl were endeavoring to get congress’s approval for some sort of emissions reduction scheme……anything goes no matter how stupid!
Tom Karl quietly resigned from NOAA in 2016. He never gave any interviews in the U.S. after that and virtually disappeared. He resurfaced in Britain a short time later where he responded to scripted questions, none of which concerned his alleged manipulation of temperature data.
Republican Lamar Smith had requested a copy of any correspondence between Democrat officials in regard to the unexplained increase in published temperatures 2001-2014 but was denied.
This may well form part of the Musk investigation under the guise of department of government efficiency.
There was no accurate data available before 1979 except from ships using thermometers placed in their engine intakes in the 1960’s. The supposed measuring of global average temperatures from 1890 had been based on thermometer readouts barely covering 5 per cent of the globe until the satellite era began 40-50 years ago. We do not know how global climate has changed in the past century, all we know is some limited regional climate changes, such as in Europe, North America and parts of Asia. For the entire record the best data quality was limited to some land areas in North America, Europe and Australia. The vast southern oceans were mainly data void.
